     Earl Brooks was born with a bad heart. His parents were too poor to afford a stroller so they would put him in a cardboard box and kick him down the street . He got his first guitar as part of a foreign student exchange. His 1st show was busking outside the only dry cleaners in Lusk Wyoming. Perhaps high on the fumes from the dry cleaners chemicals he decided to make his mark in music. “He started with very little and he still has most of that” his mom said in an interview with Billboard magazine in 2003.
